Tango Stories takes a musical journey through Buenos Aires, told through an extraordinary cast of characters shot over a period of 5 years starting in 2003. Over the course of the project we shot 120 hours of footage, following a general idea of exploring what is Tango and what does it mean to the artists who breathe life into it daily. Our goal at the time was an experimental music documentary that built up a feeling of the people, place and art form through scenes that we were able to experience and document in our travels. This began two years of difficult editing that felt like it was often going in circles. There were a lot of great moments that didn't feel like they cohered into a unified story.   As the project developed and time has intervened, we've decided to turn the project into a series of short episodes on this site as a better way to celebrate the amazing people we met and scenes that we were able to experience.   This is the beginning and our intention is for it to grow over time.   Please let us know if you would like to connect with anyone you see on this site and learn more about their music and art.
